Valentine's ay gift guide 2021

Valentine’s Day gift guide 2021

We believe that the Valentine’s Day gift guide 2021 is so much more important than previous years’… why?

Because 2020 was such a tough year, to say the least; because most of us were deprived of human contact in one form or another and physical expressions of love – such as hugs; because we’ve learnt how to show love in tens of different ways… And because this year more than ever we need to show each other kindness, love, and friendship, and giving gifts is one of the love languages that we’re fluent in!

So, here’s our Valentine’s Day gift guide 2021, ideas for him, for her, for mums, dads, grannies, and friends – because everybody deserves a gift, given with love.

Valentine gifts for a friend

We don’t know how about you but we have definitely learnt how to appreciate true friendships. Whilst we have spent most of the last year not being able to see each other in person, calls, texts mean that much more. Most of us had never heard of Zoom but for a lot of people, it’s been a lifesaver with girly nights in. So, now is as good a time as any to show your friend how much they matter.

Why not write them a letter or send them a card with a picture of the two of you having fun together? Let them know how much they mean to you. Share your favourite memories with them and maybe add a little gift, that reminds them of the good times. Or make them laugh with something silly.

Here are some ideas:

Valentine gifts for him

If you and your loved one have spent all of the lockdowns together, you’re one of the lucky ones. But we also know that sometimes it’s not easy, so, Valentine’s day is the perfect occasion to break the routine and show your partner some love.

Why not cook your other half one of their favourite meals? Support your local go-to restaurant or one of your favourite chefs. Lots of restaurants are sending out meal kits, that way you know you will have all the ingredients you need to complete the meal! You also don’t have the added stress of shopping for your Valentine’s meal. Many restaurants have diversified and to be able to function as a business – many offer home deliveries of their products and ingredients for some of their delicious meals that you would normally order in the restaurant. It’s a perfect way to spend time with your loved one cooking a meal. Here are some vegan meal kit ideas listed by TimeOut.

If you and your partner were not able to be together during lockdown – the meal kit is a thoughtful gift to send and you can cook and eat together just over Zoom or Google. If you simply want to brighten up his day with a thoughtful little something... We have you covered!

Valentine gifts for her

This is the day to really treat her! Unfortunately, we aren’t able to book a fancy spa getaway or watch a romantic film at the cinema and dinner at your favourite restaurant. However, we can experience this at home, light some scented candles (even little tealights dotted around will change the atmosphere) cook her favourite meal or even order a takeaway. This will give you more time to run a bath, treat her to a massage, watch a film or listen to music. It’s all about spending a special evening with each other.

If you want a little something to finish off the evening then below are just a small selection of gifts…………
